Carlos is a Mexican-American filmmaker based in Brooklyn.

He was named one of NYU Film School’s New Latino Leaders by Indiewire and was a 2018 NALIP Latino Lens finalist.

His latest short, Ni De Aquí, Ni De Allá (neither from here, nor there) is now streaming on PBS and World Channel. It played at at over a dozen international and domestic film festivals and won Best LGBT Short at the Sene Film Festival.

As a producer, he’s worked on films, commercials, and branded content for Nordstrom, Blue Apron, Pier 1, Chase, CNBC, TED, and Google. He recently produced Kimchi, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival; Artemis Falls, starring Adepero Oduye (12 Years A Slave), which premiered at the Atlanta Film Festival; and Codenation starring Broad City’s Arturo Castro. He is currently a producer at Droga5, where he produced the Facebook campaigns, “Never Lost” and “Born in Quarantine,” which were among the most acclaimed spots of 2020.
